Scouts Update – Operation Goodwill Christmas 2015

Saxilby Scouts – Operation Goodwill at Christmas 2015

Over the next three weeks, Saxilby Scouts will be doing their annual Goodwill at Christmas FOOD TIN COLLECTION.

This activity is organised by the scouts to help re-stock The Nomad Trust food stores at Christmas. The Nomad Trust is a local charity, providing emergency shelter & food for Individuals in need at Christmas and throughout the year. They feed and look after the homeless throughout the day and night.

The Scouts will be collecting tins of food and we would be most grateful for any tins that you can spare. We will be collecting door-to-door on:-

Tuesday 24th November and Tuesday 1st December, between 6.00pm and 8.00pm.

Any tins that are not collected can be left at 33 Manor Road from 2nd December up to Christmas.

We hope that you will be able to assist the Scouts in contributing to this worthwhile cause.

Thank you and Happy Christmas to you all

Cubs Web Site Updates

Keeping Up To Date

You may have noticed that the Cubs website hasn’t been updated for a while.  From this week we will be updating the site regularly, keeping you up to date with the many activities that Saxilby Cubs take part in.

To begin with we have updated the Cubs Gallery (found on the menu on the right, under ‘Galleries’) with some of the things our Cubs have been doing this year.  Following on from this we will have a review of the year so far which should be ready in a day or so.  We will also be updating our Facebook page in the next week, so if you haven’t already liked the page, now is a good time to do so!

It has been a brilliant year and the Cubs of Saxilby have been involved in a lot of activities.  So, keep an eye on the web page and the Facebook page and we’ll bring you up to date with everything!
