Operation Goodwill is launched

Over the next three weeks, Saxilby Scouts will be doing their annual goodwill at Christmas food tin collection.

This activity is organised by the scouts to help re-stock The Nomad Trust food stores at Christmas. The Nomad Trust is a local charity, providing emergency shelter & food for individuals in need at Christmas and throughout the year. They work closely with Beattitude at St Mary Le Wigford Church to feed and look after the homeless throughout the day and night.

The Scouts will be collecting tins of food and we would be grateful for any tins that you can spare. We will be collecting door to door in Saxilby on Tuesday the 4th and Tuesday the 11th of December, between 6pm and 8pm.

Any tins that are not collected can be left at 33 Manor Road, Saxilby, from 4th of December up to Christmas.

We hope that you will be able to assist the Scouts in contributing to this worthwhile cause.

Thank you and Happy Christmas to you all.
